My son will be turning 8 in three weeks, what is a game system you would recommend getting him for his b-day. He has never been interested in them until recently so we need to know what to buy and if you have any games that you recommend for someone his age. Some of his interests are football, Monster trucks, hot wheels, and of course, cartoons-his fave is Spongebob.

We have a 9, 7, and three year old. They all love the wii.
Some of the games include physical activity, and all of the games are age appropriate and fun for that age group.
If you can't afford the wii, I would suggest Nintendo DS. It's portable and the games are easy to get and fairly cheap.|||Any Nintendo System that is out now like the DS or Wii, Nintendo has always been more of a kid/ family orientated company. There is always some good games for them.
The Wii is a great party system especially since it gets you active and you may even get into it as well.
