Why cant i keep vehicles in just cause 2?

do i have to unlock vehicles in the game or what??? i bought the monster truck and the jet and now it shows that i have to buy again? this is crazy i spent all the money on them and now i gotta buy them again? why is this?|||It's a sad excuse for a "kickass open world game".
